Job Title:
BuyerJob Overview:
This position is responsible for the purchasing of products from our various vendors.
It requires themanagement of inventories for several vendors via physical inventory tracking as well as the online database.
Place purchase orders by email and company websites.
Communicate with vendors verbally and email.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Sourcing and buying the right products as required.
Researching new products for future procurement needs.
Continuously monitoring market supply and demand.
Negotiate pricing with supplier.
Performing physical inventory weekly and cross referencing with the online system to maintain inventory accuracy.
Inputting in the system the purchase orders received.
Place purchase orders for staple selling products, customer specific products and logo printed items.
Communicate with warehouse manager on shortages, back orders, and product availability.
Additional responsibilities as directed by manager.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge with Microsoft excelAbility to learn billing and inventory systemPurchasing experience in the restaurant supply industry preferrable but not mandatory.
Physical requirement of the position:
Able to sit for extended periods at a desk.
Perform repetitive data entry using computer keyboard as well as looking at computer screen for extended time.
Walking around a warehouse and standing for extended time.
Squatting, bending, possible lifting weight up to 50 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
