Case Management Assistant-UM Coordinator

A Case Coordinator is needed to join the team.
This position will work directly with the case managers and utilization management team to facilitate the case management process.
Responsibilities include, evaluating referrals from multiple internal and external sources, prepare and maintain case management reports to ensure all elements have been met and reports are submitted in a timely manner, obtaining referral authorizations, evaluating referrals, assisting in review process, processing discharge information, reviewing authorization, following up with doctor's office, assisting case manager with clerical and administrative needs as required.
Also, this individual will be re-verifying benefits and eligibility of cases, taking triage calls and assisting with reviewing current patient cases.
Seeking someone with strong follow up skills, able to communicate with both internal staff and external contacts.
Seeking someone who is detail oriented, able to work well in a fast paced environment.
Seeking someone reliable, dependable, team player, able to work under deadlines, very conscientious of what they are doing and service oriented.
This position will be interfacing with members at times in regards to their cases.
Must have at least 2-3 years experience as a medical assistant or experience in handling case review and utilization review.
Strong understanding of patient treatment and care as well as the ability to juggle multiple cases and patients at once .
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
