Summary:
Will lead a Telematics Operational Service Management program and team. Develop and maintain key metrics and measurements for overall IT Applications / Telematics performance and support ongoing Operational Excellence program initiatives. Responsible for managing daily operations of companys services and applications as well associated staff. The Operations Manager maintains the operational integrity of the application technologies and services provided. Her or His team uses monitoring applications as well as human experience to track performance. When outages occur or are imminent, the team must promptly respond to support the needs of the business users in a critical 24x7 availability environment.
Duties:
-Lead the TMS Operations and Maintenance team.
-Safeguard the Telematics application environments from an operational perspective
-Become familiar with application and data processing profiles and the impact of those flows on Companys IT services environment and future capacity
-Leverage application skills for the development of help desk processes and to better support end user community
-Manage scheduling and staffing of Telematics/IT Operations
-Manage and direct all activities of the Help Desk service provider (Catch-and-Dispatch)
-Recruits and selects high quality Operations support personnel for employment
-Implement solutions to operational business problems
-Delivers service that meets SLAs and exceeds customer expectations
-Achieve productivity improvements which enhance IT value
-Create and implement policies, procedures, and key performance metrics for management of IT/Telematics support to company customers (B2B)
-Collaborate with IT and business areas for overall improvement in problem resolution and technical documentation
-Develop metrics and maintain associated reports for usage as well as appropriate IT parties
Experience:
10-15
years IT Application (Infrastructure a plus) experience in Maintenance/Operation or related fields.
3-5
Years of Application Project and Infrastructure project management experience desired
Education:
BS: CS/CE
MS: Related Engineering field a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
