Senior Application Engineer (Java, telematics)

Duties:
Provide engineering development guidance to the vehicle telematics development team to create telematics designs, develop systems, resolve issues and manage development schedule
Perform Telematics Infrastructure Implementation and Telematics Core Systems Integration for various vehicle telematics projects
Establish vehicle telematics development environment/guidelines (coding, code reviews, build)
Perform telematics design analysis, features/service integration and telematics specifications
Develop detailed specifications for vehicle telematics architecture
Work with multiple stakeholders to analyze requirements and required licenses, clarify design concept/dependencies, create test plans, support functional and non-functional activities
Identify, plan and manage the scope for Telematics Systems Integration
Create WBS, conduct/prepare Vendor Identification, RFP, execute SOW for vehicle telematics development project
Stay abreast of new vehicle telematics and communications technology
Coordinate and lead critical technical issue resolutions
