OCSD is currently looking to fill the role of a Maintenance Worker Instrumentation/Electrical
Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker performs a variety of routine maintenance duties in support of the Instrumentation & Electrical Maintenance Division; operates and maintains a variety of tools and equipment; and performs a variety of assignments in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment. This is an entry level position in the instrumentation and electrical series. Specifically, this person will be trained in all safety procedures with respect to plant equipment, tools, and the lock out tag out process. This person will operate a variety of assigned equipment and tools as directed in a safe and efficient manner to accomplish assigned tasks, which may include routine service and repair duties on equipment and machinery at both wastewater treatment plants and remote pump stations. Other responsibilities may include routine electrical circuit installation for additions or modifications; bending and installing conduit; pulling wire and wiring in conduit as shown on blueprint and testing system for proper installation. This person will also perform housekeeping duties in equipment rooms, lighting and equipment repair, routine cleaning of equipment, and assist instrumentation, electrical, and control systems technicians as required.
The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent; and a combination of education and training, which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. A minimum of one (1) year of work experience maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems equipment is highly desired. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in the basic principles, practices, tools, equipment and materials used in the electrical, instrumentation, and control systems trades. A working knowledge of the National Electrical Code; electrical/process control circuitry, process field instrumentation, PLC based control systems, electric motors and circuit breakers, and safe work practices is highly desired. The ability to interact with all levels of District staff and the general public is required. The successful candidate must possess a valid California class C drivers license. The ability to perform physical labor; understand and follow written and oral instructions; and effectively communicate verbally and in writing is essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must. This position may be assigned to respond to a variety of wastewater emergencies on an assigned standby shift; or may require working overtime, and on rare occasions on holidays and weekends.

Hiring Salary Range: $27.39 - $30.20/Hour

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
