Responsibilities include:
Design, implement and support network infrastructure including LAN/WAN technologies, Windows Active Directory, VoIP, Intrusion Detection, and firewalls. Duties include hardware & software installations, management of SPAM filters, server backups, and distribution of software updates and applications. Must maintain current knowledge of technological developments in field and stay abreast of current best practices.
Deployment of software packages and updates, Create and maintain Ghost images
User account management while ensuring security and the principle of least priviledge
Monitor network performance and consistency
Perform and verify backups of all network servers and other mission-critical systems
Provide assistance and training to users and other team members
Install and support network software, Test new software and identify conflicts and requirements
Document procedures and maintain an inventory of company hardware and software
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software products
Test, repair, and replace damaged hardware and software
Research technical software problems and devise resolutions
Perform other duties as assigned
Will require working outside normal/scheduled hours of company operation
In-depth experience and knowledge with TCP/IP networking, Active Directory 2003, BackupExec, and Cisco IOS
Experience with software deployment products including Numara Deploy, SMS, or Microsoft Systems Center
Experience with RSA two-factor authentication preferred
Knowledge or experience of Cisco VoIP a plus
Ability to analyze complex IT problems and recommend course of action
Ability to work under pressure within time constraints
Excellent oral and written communication skills, Exceptional interpersonal skills, Outstanding organizational abilities
Must currently hold and maintain the following IT certifications:
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2000 or 2003)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Four or more years' experience with TCP/IP networking, Active Directory 2003, BackupExec and Cisco IOS
6 Month Contract to Hire.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
