2 1 day ago Full Job Description An exciting opportunity is now available for an Assistant Nurse Manager of Surgical Services at a 400 bed Los Angeles Metropolitan Area Medical Center The Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical Services will be responsible to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided for the Perioperative department that is guided by the mission of the hospital.
The Assistant Nurse Manager Surgical Services will report directly to the Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services, and will be supported by Educators, charge nurses and over 80 FTE's.
The Assistant Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services will have twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative Services.
The Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in high ranges.
The Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards.
The Medical Center has 18 operating rooms and annually perform just over 12,200 inpatient and 15,500 outpatient Surgical Procedures, including 3300 total joints.
The Medical Center is located in Los Angeles, a region which sees over 300 days of annual sunshine.
